Aerial progress photos were earlier this month and are now available in the Project Library.
Starting Thursday, October 20, West Union Road will be closed to all traffic between Creek Mill Road and US51. Traffic will be detoured to use Wilkinsville Road. The area to be closed is detailed in the map below.
Eastbound traffic on West Union Road will be diverted to Wilkinsville Road. Local traffic will still be allowed into the First Baptist Church and the TN Driver's Testing Center, but West Union Road will be completely barricaded beyond that point and no traffic will be allowed to continue to US51.
This closure is anticipated to last until mid-December. Click the image below to view a larger version.
Lane shifts and closures will be implemented on Raleigh-Millington Road near the Canadian National Railroad starting around 9:00 tomorrow morning, September 29.
Traffic on Raleigh Millington will be reduced to one lane in each direction between State Route 385 and the railroad. All traffic will be shifted into the existing southbound lanes of Raleigh-Millington Road.
This is the first phase of traffic control for the Veterans Parkway roadway improvements in this area. Future phases will shift the traffic around into different configurations as we build the new roadways. Traffic control measures of some sort will be in place until next summer.
As always, we ask that you exercise caution when traveling through a work zone. Be alert for construction activities as well as your fellow drivers. We appreciate your coorperation.
